1. App Overview

YapTask is a personal, voice-first task list for iOS. You can create, update, complete, delete, and organize lists, tasks, and subtasks by typing commands, speaking short voice commands, or using direct task-list controls. YapTask uses trusted backend services for realtime sync, server-side voice transcription, assistant command interpretation, validated task-list operations, command summaries, and immediate undo/redo.

2. User Data and Privacy

2.1 Data Collection and Use

Our Privacy Policy explains what information YapTask collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you. In summary:

• Account information and task-list content are used to provide and synchronize the service.
• Voice input and AI-powered requests are optional and require the permissions described in the Privacy Policy.
• Limited analytics, diagnostics, purchase, and support information may be used to operate, secure, and improve YapTask.

2.2 Data Security

We use security measures designed to protect information transmitted to and stored by YapTask and its providers. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed, and users are responsible for maintaining control of their Apple account and device access.

2.3 Data Retention and Deletion

User data is retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account from the app. Deleting your YapTask account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple.

2.4 Optional AI Processing

Optional AI features rely on third-party processing. The Privacy Policy identifies the provider, explains what information may be sent and why, and describes how to grant or withdraw permission. AI-powered task-list requests are unavailable while permission is off.

3. Subscriptions and TestFlight

3.1 Auto-Renewable Subscription

YapTask Pro is an auto-renewable monthly subscription that provides access to the app's task-list and assistant features. The U.S. price is $7.99 per month and eligible new subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial. The price and trial displayed in the App Store purchase sheet at the time of purchase are authoritative and may vary by storefront.

3.2 Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation

Payment is charged to your Apple ID after you confirm the purchase. A free trial converts to the paid monthly subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge your account for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription from YapTask Settings or your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app or your YapTask account does not cancel the Apple subscription.

3.3 Restore Purchases and Availability

You can restore eligible purchases from the app. Access may take a short time to update after a purchase, renewal, refund, billing issue, or cancellation. YapTask may change subscription pricing or benefits prospectively where permitted; Apple will provide any notice or consent required for price changes.

3.4 TestFlight Feedback

If you submit feedback through TestFlight, Apple may provide YapTask with the screenshots, comments, crash feedback, device/app details, and optional contact information included with that feedback.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accuracy of Data

Users are responsible for the accuracy of the data they provide, including the voice commands issued to the app. YapTask interprets commands based on AI algorithms, and while it aims to provide accurate results, users should verify the app's output.

4.2 Account Security

Users should not share their YapTask accounts with others and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. YapTask is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access due to a user's failure to secure their account.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Prohibited Use

Users agree not to use YapTask for any illegal, harmful, abusive, or malicious activity, including but not limited to:

• Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
• Engaging in activities that disrupt the App's functionality or user experience
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users.

5.2 Commercial Use Limitations

The app is intended for personal use. Users wishing to use YapTask for commercial purposes must seek explicit permission and may be subject to separate terms.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Ownership and License

YapTask owns the intellectual property rights to the App's features, functionality, and content. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes only.

6.2 User-Generated Content

Any content added by users remains their responsibility. Users must ensure that their content does not infringe on the rights of others.

7. Liability and Disclaimer

7.1 Limitation of Liability

YapTask shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the app, including errors in interpreting voice commands or issues with task synchronization. YapTask is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

7.2 Third-Party Services Disclaimer

YapTask relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, storage and sync, AI processing, voice transcription, analytics, diagnostics, website operations, and beta feedback. YapTask does not guarantee their availability, performance, or accuracy and disclaims liability for issues arising from third-party services to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Updates and Changes to Terms

YapTask reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes via in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the app following the update constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal suit, action or proceeding arising out of, or related to, these Terms of Service or the Website shall be instituted exclusively in the federal courts of the United States or the courts of the State of Massachusetts.
