About YapTask
YapTask is a voice-first personal task list for iOS. You speak a request in ordinary language and the app turns it into lists, tasks, and subtasks.
YapTask is built by AmbiMake LLC, a software company based in Massachusetts, United States. AmbiMake also builds TMPLT and 0layers.
What the app does
- Capture by voice or text. Press the button and say what is on your mind, or type the same request. Nothing is recorded until you press.
- Structure without sorting. The assistant reads your request and creates, renames, completes, reschedules, reorders, or deletes the right items.
- Break work down. Ask the app to expand a task and it proposes subtasks you can accept or edit.
- Undo a misheard request. Assistant changes support immediate undo and redo, so a wrong interpretation costs you a tap.
- Sync across your devices. Your lists are stored in the YapTask backend and kept in sync in realtime.
How it handles your data
Voice input and AI processing are optional and off until you grant permission. When you allow them, voice recordings go to OpenAI for transcription and requests go to Groq for interpretation. YapTask-owned storage does not keep the raw recording once transcription completes, and you can withdraw permission, turn analytics off, or delete your account from Settings at any time. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
Availability and pricing
YapTask is launching on iOS first, with Android and web planned later. YapTask Pro will be $7.99 per month in the United States at launch, and eligible new subscribers may receive a one-week free trial. The App Store purchase sheet shows the price and trial for your storefront and is authoritative. Join the waitlist on the home page for early access.
